Having more subscribers will get you more subscribers?

ya I was thinking about this like one year ago. this gotta be true. because no matter how good I do the video, there's no way for me to get any subs. Well my last video got me 3 so I'm at 94 but...
 
I definitely people are more inclined to subscribe to your channel if you have over 1000 subscribers. I do not understand the logic behind it especially when someone's content is not the greatest, but I guess that is how people operate! I am not 100% sure I understand it lol
 
On the whole, people are more likely to subscribe to you if you have already have a sum of subscribers, it's because if someone can see that you already have a bunch of subscribers then surely your content must have some appeal. If you have none or very few then people are less likely to give you the time of day. Although, I think many people will subscribe to you if they personally enjoy your content, it just helps if your snowball already has momentum.
