Has anyone used the products from MotionVFX.com?

I Love YTtalk
They sell plugins (like titles, transitions, effects) for use in Final Cut Pro. I like the look of their stuff. However, when I used some of the free products, it wasn't easy at all. Just wondering if others have used their products and what you thought about it.

I realise this post is a few months old, and I may be venting... however I jumped into the motionvfx ecosystem and purchased product. The template project_1201 I am using on a iMac maxed out is INCREDIBLY SLOW and UN-USEABLE. So much so I have asked for my money back.

Some of their regular 'title presets' & 'looks' seem to be performing okay, however as far as this template is concerned, I won't be wasting anymore money on them.

Given I am running the latest edition of OS & FCP, have used both a powerful iMac & MacBook Pro to edit the project, however have wasted almost a day in chasing performance issues, completed all the necessary steps to optimise FCP & System, (rarely have FCPX issues), I'd say this product is a big miss.

Reading some forums, seems I am not the only one complaining.

Unsatisfied & dissapointed customer

@Rosebud Thanks for responding. I'm sorry you had such a bad experience. I hope you get the refund. When I use the free versions the drop ins are useless. I select a clip and a different part gets dropped in. It's a big pain. Are there any other vendors that you could recommend?

@Redford1900

Thanks for your sympathies there Redford. I usually limit Template Projects to only the corporate gigs I produce (as it's cost effective for the client) and usually work within AE. Having used many a template via videohive.net (with little issue). I know VH have Apple Motion templates - not sure on FCP.

Pixelfilmstudio.com do FCP plugins & templates. I haven't tried em. I'm sure there are other vendors if you dig around.

Not surprisingly, the paid version of the project_1201 from motionvfx has the same issue you spoke of "drop ins are useless. I select a clip and a different part gets dropped in. It's a big pain."

Regards
