has any1 ever found a useful way of using the 'discussion' tab

Wandered has anybody ever found a useful way of using the 'discussion' tab on your Youtube channel page. I can't think of anything to write on mine and nor has the quarter million viewers so far lol Its kinda like the internal message feature I think that got discontinued a few months back. Are there any ways to promote some active engagement, tricks, or such that I'm missing in my ignorance here?

I kind of feel like its really been largely replaced by the community posts now, Since I can put my thoughts into a post and it gets into everyones sub feeds so it tends to generate much more interaction, response etc over the discussions tab

I don't think anyone's ever really used the discussion tab. It just did stuff that you could say in a video or tweet about or now, throw in your Community tab.

Ah yes I lookd at your channel.. Seems the bigger channels have 'community' instead of 'discussion' but otherwise looks the same. I notice you put your videos in yours. Can I do that in discussions? Interesting that your community post goes to sub feed! Is that the same for discussion tab as well? Im guessing not maybees. Maybe my channel too small anyways to benefit.

You can embed videos with "community" and you can also embed photos and do polls. Only the channel owner can start a thread on "community" that the viewers can reply to.

With "discussion", it's exactly the same as the comments section below a video, except it's for general messages about the channel. Not very useful tbh. You can only link to videos with a text link on the "discussion" tab.
