Hey Yall,

I was thinking of doing a short film for halloween. I know it's very close (for a writer) to halloween.

I was wondering for tips and suggestions what the plot could be?

Haha! How cool! I was kinda wanting to be me suspenseful and have comedy in it. I hope this doesn't take you off the idea you were thinking. (Sort of Brandon Rodgers type)

It kinda challenge me on that comedy part. Mostly when I'm watching Horror movies the comedy part of it is the actor is trying to escape but always doing the wrong way. Like opening the locked door with the wrong key, stepping on the lego bricks of you younger brother during horrific parts of the video. Some of it can turned out to be corny or cringy. What makes it funny is the actors way to deliver the facial expression and intensity of face emotion. If you agreed in this, I can start your plot already but if not. Tell me what part you really wanted to happen

Yeah, I guess. For the plot, for something I really want to happen is to have a twist or a whole plot changer. Maybe based on a party gone wrong ..

Okay, I will start your plot. But one last question, What type of antagonist you want to be in your story? Evil, Ghosts, Malevolent entities or a murderer? I will use the party gone wrong of yours as the theme. So basically it's like just a plain happy party then something will happen that can suddenly turn the story into a tragic nightmare.

You could have a stereotypical horror... but instead of having stereotypical characters, have the characters go against genre conventions. (i.e blonde female is the hero that wins, dark, tall man is the one that does stupid stuff).
So like.... a non-stereotypical take on stereotypical horror.
