So, how do you improve your quality on your gaming videos? You can find out:

Lets assume you're making gaming commentary videos, but you want to make them better and add some silk touch to it.

1.Equipment:

Equipment does matter, personally myself, I spent most of the money on my PC. For the microphone I use a 12$ headset microphone, but if you wanna get a better USB microphone from 60$ to 110$, then take a look at the Blue Snowball or the Blue Yeti microphone (Which I may get :p). My PC is a good gaming PC and if you wanna make a new game review or anything, you must have a good PC or at least go to the 24-30FPS.

2.Audio/Video Recording:
Audio:

Program/s Needed: Audacity

Personally myself I use Audacity, you can find out more for the program on the Audio Editing. What I do is wait five seconds and start recording check below to see why.
Video:

Program/s Needed: Fraps/DxTory

For the video, I mostly use Fraps, and sometimes DxTory. Now they both are good programs, and they cost... For me, I prefer DxTory more if you don't use Audacity to record your audio, because you can split the in-game audio and your commentary audio into 2 tracks. If you're using DxTory you can check settings tutorial:
3.Audio/Video Editing:
Audio:

Program/s Needed: Audacity

For the audio editing I mostly use the free program called "Audacity", it's 15000% free and there's no complains, you install it and you're ready to go. Now I assume you use DxTory splitting audio or already recorded with audacity (audio), so that means you have 5 seconds of background noise before you start speaking, you want to do that to reduce the background noise, even if you didn't, select a part where it's only the background noise, now click on the Effect->Noise Removal, from there on click on the Get Noise Profile button, now select the whole audio (CTRL+A or Command+A for Mac) and go to Noise Removal again, but now click on OK, and by far my best settings for it were: Noise Reduction (db): 23, Sensitivity: 0.00, Smoothing Frequency: 480, and Attack/Decay time: 0.15 secs and make sure you put it on Noise and not Isolate, because Isolate will remove your voice and add in the background noise, okay now after that you wanna go to Effect->Compressor and make the settings to: -4 Threshold, -40 Noise Floor, 5:1 Ratio, 0.2 Secs Attack time and 1.0 Decay Time. Now the last thing you wanna go to Effect->Equalization and click on Bass Boost and Treble Boost.

Program/s Needed: Vegas Pro/Adobe After Effects

Honestly, apart from putting my intro, I don't edit the video that much, what I do is cut some parts that were boring or I don't want them to be there, and if there's necessary, I speed up some parts of the video, you can check some tutorials or figure it out yourself, and if you wanna get rid of the black bars on sides, what you need to do in Vegas Pro is right click on the video track, go to Properties and click Maintain Aspect Ratio.

That's about it I hope I helped you, peace out! :)

I'd suggest you take out the "crack/hack them and you get them for free" bit ;)
Other than that, I used to use Fraps, then I switched to DxTory and there's no turning back! So much better,
