Gray "!" Next to All Videos - No Luck

Hey all! I'm new to the forums and I have gaming channel that's only about 2 months old. Last month, I was monetizing all of my videos without issues until 8/17/15.

Every single video I post and attempt to monetize now asks for proof of commercial use rights. I submit what YouTube asks for, which is usually an link to a developer giving permission, and it just says "Monitoring For Possible Review."

Anybody else have this sudden onset of requiring proof for every video?

I feel like I'm trusted with youtubes system then because I haven't had an issue like that for a little over a year now

So you've had this issue before? If so, how long did it last?

Crackerjack I'm no expert but I watched a few of your videos (and you have a ton) and I think the problem may lie with that I couldn't find any commentary whatsoever and I'm pretty sure for fair use and the ability to monetize you have to be providing something more than game-play. ie voice over, or some change to the content. In raw form I don't think you are aloud to monetize. I have seen this happen several times to gaming channels. Everything is fine until either a Dev reports their content or the content ID system catches it. YouTube will eventually get back with you but unfortunately its not a quick process as this happens thousands of times a day and their are only so many man hours for manual review.

no clue if this still works but back in like early 2014 there was a mass issue with their review systems and a way to fix it was to unmonetize the video, save the settings and then monetize it again and 9/10 it would fix it automatically if that doesn't work then youtube only takes like 1-2 business days to come back and fix the issue

I'll give it a try, but I've been waiting 3+ weeks for my videos to be monetized after submitting the requested stuff.

I'm just now getting into the commentary aspect of my Gameplay. Focusing on Disney Infinity 3.0 right now, but for the others that I've uploaded and monetized, the developers give express permission to monetize any videos you've captured, even if they're not with commentary.

An example: For the Tomb Raider Videos:

"However, we don’t mind if you monetize via advertising through partner programs like YouTube.com, Twitch.tv, Ustream.tv, or similar video sharing services."

If I capture Gameplay a developer says you can upload on Youtube without monetizing, then I don't monetize. I try very hard to seek permission and respect the developers' decisions on the matter. World of Tanks for example... I don't monetize those.

Joining a network will resolve this issue FYI, in case you're looking for a quick fix.
