GPU Upgrade suggestions?

I've Got It
here are my specs

cpu - intel core i7 2600k
motherboard - asrock z77 extreme 3
ram - 8 gb ripjaws 1600
power supply - cx500 by corsair
current graphics card - Sapphire Radeon HD 6850 1gb


I'm looking around $300 at max. I wouldn't mind a used card if it is a high level card but in good condition
 
Why do you wanna upgrade your CPU? It's fine. Just over clock it. I would actually suggest upgrading your RAM though and the GPU.
 
There's nothing wrong with the ram. If you want a higher clock then just increase it a bit (assuming your ram comes with a half decent heatsink). For the GPU then it depends entirely on what you're gonna be doing on the computer.

For that budget your only real option is GTX 760

If you want CUDA then get an NVIDIA GPU. CUDA can play a big part in rendering with the adobe creative suite. If you want to play games like BF4 on ultra settings with 60fps then I'd recommend a GTX 760 or 770. Here is a battlefield ->3<- benchmark with the MSI Twin Frozr OC edition of the 760:
