Google's Hummingbird Update

So I have been recently working to learn and study SEO. Well right as soon as I am making a dent Google announces that they are changing the search algorithm all together. I'm not too sure what to think of this. I'm hoping that the new search engine will help stir the waters a bit and help new content rise to the surface. Now that tags won't be working the same it sounds like new videos may hit the search results giving some of us a chance.

What are your thoughts on this?

My plan of action with this news is to consider the content of a video and implement sentences, questions, and answers in my description field.

Hopefully it's this simple. I'm wondering how I am going to address this with our comedy sketches. They don't really answer questions. They are just designed to make you laugh.

This will actually benefit my current videos a lot. I tend to put the script of the video into the description, and I sometimes use commonly used phrases in my videos, so when people search up that phrase my video gets ranked higher.

Your videos would be perfect for this algorithm. Because your videos do in fact answer questions lol. Your channel is basically perfectly optimized for this.

Well I'm glad I didn't spend 50 bucks on the one SEO course on here. I was just about too but now it seems worthless
