I like that it's an option - Not all videos that I comment on are videos that I want shared on my G+ page, so I'm selective about that. I'm also glad that comment replies are not "shares." I don't mind them being public, but I don't want all my comment replies showing up on my page either.
 
I really haven't noticed any difference to be honest, but it may affect YouTubers with more of a following than me.
 
I love Google+ so much I have to check myself for Google chip implants. My channel is at the sweariest end of YouTube and it's already getting rid of the worst horrors.
 
TBH as much as I hate it it seems to have made the flow of youtube a lot better then in recent years. I'm getting a lot more views
 
I've noticed a change in the amount of shares and the short term views my videos get. I've also seen my videos with re-watch value and no expiration date go up quite a bit in views. I'm also getting quite a few subscribers on my vlog channel.
 
It's funny. I just got a negative comment on one of my videos, but the guy accidentally shared the video to his G+ at the same time. So yeah, there's some unintentional free promotion going on here.
 
My views and subs are definitely on the rise. I wouldn't know whether it's because I am focusing on certain content right now or it has to do with G+
