good vlogging camera?

hey guys!
so recently i started vlogging but i am looking into getting a new camera.
I want to get a compact camera to take everywhere easily but one that does have auto-focus and doesn't pick up all the background noises.
I find it really hard to start searching for a good one without really knowing where to look.
So if you know some good cameras please let me know :)
 
My all time favorite vlogging camera is the Canon elph 300hs. they don't make them anymore so you'd have to find them used. I actually went to the next up model and it's not quite as good.

There are other canon pocket cams that are pretty cool though!

If you can, spend the money on a camera with a microphone input. Then get a mic. This will in all ways be superior to the internal microphone and won't get the background noise to the same extent.
 
I use my android phone , it has a good open shutter camera, so editing is easy to do and with the right lighting it can be used for any purpose, only problem would be sound(but its not bad at all) but thats the problem with all camera's.

Unless your doing a live action skit, i dont believe a high quality camera is needed.
 
This will sound weird or noob. But I love my Samsung S3 for Vlogging lol. Its compact the quality and sound is awesome and when I film in public people think Im just facetiming.
