Good recording software?

I'm currently using Camtasia Studio 8.6 and yes, it's good software for recording some stuff but it lags really hard sometimes and crashes while editing the videos.

What software could I use to record both my camera and my screen at the same time and that it's good for editing too. Something simple to work on without problems like on Camtasia.

P.S. If I have to use 2 programs (1 for webcam and 1 for screen) what should they be?

I'm really a non-expert in this, so your advice is really HELPFUL.

Cheers!

Well if you have a mac you can use quicktime (free) as a screen recorder by right clicking it and then clicking "new screen recording"

But if you have windows you might want to look into camstudio (might cost money) i don't really know much about it ( because i sadly use a mac )

I cant really help you on the face cam thing whatsoever though so sorry about that.[DOUBLEPOST=1451150790,1451150679][/DOUBLEPOST]
Bandicam, OBS.
also i don't recommend bandicam, because from what ive seen it leaves a watermark at the top of your screen.

It does, but only in free version.

OBS is completely free. There are no watermarks and you can have as many video outputs (camera, game etc) on your screen as you like. For video editing some people use lightworks which I'm pretty sure is free and a lot more people seem to be using it.
