Good programs for generating SRT (subtitle) files?

Hi everyone,

I listened to a podcast recently that said when posting video clips on Facebook and other social media platforms, it's best to use subtitles, since not everyone has sound on when they're on their phones.

Does anybody know of a good program that will automatically generate an SRT file without me having to type it up? I'm sure there's probably always going to be errors, but it still seems way easier to have a program automatically generate the files.

Any thoughts? Thanks!
 
You can search for speech to text software but the quality will be similar to what we know from YouTube's automatic captions.
