Good gaming headset for commentary?

Hey im looking for a good (budget) gaming headset with good mic quality and i need some help. im curently using the turtle beach z11 and im not sure if its my voice or im not editing the audio right but i can never get good enough audio.

could someone recommend a headset for me(only headset)? preferable i would like to spend between 50-80. i've found the turtle beach x12 and the razer kraken 7.1 but im getting mixed opinions on it and hearing varying audio results (could be because some people audio their sound while others dont).

I would recommend a condenser mic instead, and you could use your old headset. Mainly because headset microphones are generally bad quality. A couple good ones to start out with are the ATR-2100 or the Blue Snowball.

A condenser mic like the CAD U37 would be great for commentaries.
On Amazon, you can get it for under $50.
My friend has it, and it sounds extraordinary in Skype calls as well as in videos and streams. It's great.

Other mics I would recommend would be the Audio Technica AT2020 and the Samson Meteor.

If you want to go all fancy, you could get the Blue Snowball, which is the microphone I have, but it picks up a fair amount of backup noise.

Yes, even the Kraken 7.1. I already recommended a couple of microphones, but there's definitely some other ones you can look at. There are versions of the ones I recommended that go for about a $100 but with better quality called the AT2020 and the Blue Yeti. Both are great mics, and I would definitely recommend them. If you're looking for other microphones, Shure makes some good ones, as does Rode.

I have been using the turtlebeach x12s( 60 dollars retail) for all my lets plays and reaction commentarys and I have had multiple complements on my audio...only issue I have had is pop from screaming and such but I believe you will have that with any headset mic combo...also no matter what headset mic set up you use ,you wanna remember to find a sweet spot for the distance between your mouth and the mic...for my voice its about 5 inches but it all depends on your voice style and how loud you naturally talk .....another option is to use a usb stand alone mic and for the money the blue snowball(about 60) or blue yeti(about 100) are hard to beat. hope this helped! :D

It may not be your mic it may be the software you are using to record your videos I suggest trying audacity befor buying another headset or mic because I use the Turtle Beach MW3 Foxtrot Limited Edition headset for alot of my commentaries and the voice quality is fine.
