Good editing software?

Heey guys!

So now I'm into making youtube videos I just want to ask what good editing software there is?
Also any screen recorders for computers that can be good to record when I'm playing minecraft.
Would be great for some suggestions!

Are you on a Mac or a PC (even though a mac is a PC but whatever, we'll overlook it )

Mac Screen Recording:

-ScreenFlow
-Quicktime Movie Player -> Right click -> New Screen Recording

Mac Editing Software

-Final Cut Pro 7
-Final Cut Pro X
-iMovie (standard)
-Adobe After Effects

PC Editing Software

-Sony Vegas
-Windows Movie Maker (standard... please don't use XD)
-Adobe After Effects

PC Screen Recording:

-Not sure if quicktime does the same thing that it does on mac.. o.o
-Hypercam
-ScreenFlow

It get's the job done, it's just that the others will get it done much nicer

For PC's in editing windows movie maker is free, good for absolute beginners but I'm guessing you already knew that. Camtasia is a good recorder AND editor (have to pay though), Sony Vegas and Adobe Premiere are probably the best two but they're also most expensive two. PC gamers have like this unspoken rule that the absolute best recorder is Fraps.

For mac, which is what I use, screenflow is the absolute best because its like Fraps and Sony Vegas put together, and its a lot cheaper.
