Goals for 2013: Failed.

I play video entertainment thats interactive.
Unfortunately I could not reach my goals I set for myself to accomplish for this year, which was to get 150 subscribers and 8,000 total video views.

Currently I have 125 subscibers (just lost another one today) and 7,466 total video views.

What can I say? I tried. I advertised on here, social networks, other forums, tags, titles. Tried to do games that were more popular. Didn't do much of anything really.

Things like this can be really discouraging and demotivating, in fact, I have never reached any YouTube goals I have set out for myself.

But I'm not letting that stop me.

In fact, I will be trying harder than ever in the new year. I already purchased a new graphics card which has been nothing but satisfactory for me, as I can now run the latest games now even on ultra settings.

I also bought a new microphone a blue snowball, and there is even a possibility that I might purchase a facecam for future videos.

Why am I telling you all this? Because I hate seeing people quit YouTube simply because they have a lack of views and subscribers. If you have a lack of views and subscribers then its entirely up to you to change that, change up your content, improve your quality, etc. You just have to keep trying. That's what I'm doing.

And I have high hopes for the new year, happy new year's guys. See you all in 2014!

Phew.... I thought you were going to announce your retirement from YouTube. Nice to know you're not going to give up! :)

That's amazing! Yes, always find ways to improve yourself. In the end, the number is just a number. You'll be successful if you keep pushing yourself, and always believing in yourself. You'll reach your goals, I believe in you! Keep up the awesome attitude and good work. New year, new opportunities. I wish you all the luck, and that your channel continues to grow. Happy New Years! :D

Haha nowhere near retirement yet, I've met a lot of interesting and amazing people from my YouTube channel (You included Mr. Kane), I wouldn't be apart of these wonderful forums if I didn't have a channel to begin with.

Also thank you to everyone else that replied! Your words are more than enough motivation for me to keep going :) I wish you guys the best for your channels as well in the new year!

Good, I'm not the only one! lol

My first goal for 2013 was to get 100 subs before the end of the year but I'm still at 86 so that failed but my 2nd goal was successful! 10,000 views before the end of 2013 now I'm at 15,149 (Overview in analytics).

I'm not giving up on my first goal!

I'm glad you didn't let the numbers discourage you! I came pretty close to one of my goals for 2013 as well, and I'm happy just for that. Here's to a very successful 2014!

That's the spirit. YouTube is a marathon, not a sprint. You got this :)
