Give me ideas for a song?

I write songs myself and produce music and the least you wanna do is ask people what you should write about. It just won't work its like forcing yourself to do something others want without feeling it yourself. You're mostly asking this cuz you're out of inspiration. In those cases i personally just listen to music i like or i might get an idea from some movie or i watch a bunch of documentaries about artists. And then theres the sad part when your life sucks you really have a lot to write about and put it out.

Just yeah this isn't that good of idea to ask ppl here. Go get some inspiration and go with what you feel and you'll figure the rest after.

That sir is a really good point like seriously. Thanks for the advice! And that's true I get inspired sometimes by people and even things but now that I think about it I haven't been too much lately...

Retweet. It's always good to force yourself to write. I don't believe in writer's block, just laziness or resistance. Look up the book 'War of Art' it's a really great book that I refer to if I am not writing. Look online for songwriting exercises or creativity exercises. When I was in college both of my songwriting professors gave us weekly assignments to write a song based on different criteria. You were forced to write with a deadline and even if at the end of the deadline your song wasn't perfect it was a starting point for a finished product. One of my favourite assignments that created a song that ended up being used on my EP was to write a song in a way that's different than you normally write. E.g. write using a highlighter instead of a pen, using a typewriter instead of a computer, etc.
