Gaming to vlogs?

Ok, so over the past year, my views have been on a decline, that's a fact. However, they seem to be at a new low, to the point where I have to struggle to get 15 views. Just 2 weeks ago I could at least make 30. My channel has always been marketed as a gaming/vlog channel, with an emphasis on gaming. However, I have noticed that all my more vlog oriented videos tend to get a bit more views than my gaming videos. However, I know im not as funny on my vlog videos, and they aren't nearly as easy to make as gaming videos are, especially making sure they're funny. So my question is, since all my vlog videos get more views than my gaming videos, should I slowly start shifting my channel more towards the vlog side and start to give up on the gaming videos? Any advice on that or overall would be great, thanks! :)

I'd say slowly shift it out or maybe eventually split it to 2 channels, since vlogging
(unless about gaming) & gaming are pretty different types of content.
(Also with that whole content I.D stuff, its nice to have something you can still use
if the gaming content causes issues in the future)

I would make two separate channels. A gaming channel, and a vlogging channel.

People who subscribe for gaming probably don't want to see vlogs, and vice versa. By separating the audience, you can build a stronger connection with those interested.

I used to do vlogs and gaming on my channel, but I've realized that having the audiences separated, I can connect with the viewers more, and therefor benefit. Sure, it sucks having to start fresh on something, and you won't have the same amount of subscribers, but it will help you out a bunch in the long run.

Ive thought about that, but im worried that if I do that, as it seems like my audience isnt really paying attention, that no one will subscribe (or watch) to the second channel.

Vlogging>gaming imho, you can just make playlists and have one called gaming and one for vlogs.

If you have a regular schedule then make a day for vlogging and 1 for gaming, :]

Of your gaming audience is in a fallout then I think you should try some vlogging and since you say people tend to like those more I think it would be a good choice. But I think you shouldn't cut out your gaming channel totally, the reason being is that I have my own gaming channel and it's doing quite well and the reason being is that you have to test and see what works out. You have to keep the content new and now play the games that everyone else is doing also you gotta have a good commentary for the videos or else no one will ever watch them. I think the best way to do this is to maybe get friends or a second. Person involved.

Another point is that you were saying that vlogging was a longer process than when it comes to making gaming videos. I don't think that should matter, the reason being is because the amount of content you put out does not matter if all of it is rubbish. I personally would rather make one good funny video every three days than to upload three videos in one day. And then know that those three videos were total trash even though I put out more videos it would not matter.

Always keep in mind that every video that you put out might be watched by a new person and if that video is bad they will not even spend the time to look at your channel or subscribe. But there's still a chance in the gaming space I mean I get about 600+ views a day and I'm still a small channel. So good luck in ever you may do next!

I really don't mind spending a lot of time on a video if it's better quality, I just feel like I don't have enough good ideas to keep up a full vlogging channel. I am throwing around a split channel idea, but im worried that splitting my audience wouldn't work, and no one would come to the second.

Well if you don't try it you'll never know, and maybe vlogging is more for you than gaming ever was. Want ever it is I recommend that you at least try it or grow your viewers and subs if your worried about not having anyone.

As for ideas for a vlog just do it about what ever comes to your mind, the best videos are the ones that are not scripted.
