Go on to gamejolt.com... pretty much every game on there is free, and indie

Also, with Minecraft mods the installation instructions are generally to plop them into your Minecraft folder... the specific instructions should be on the mod forum thread/download page

Check out Total Biscuits channel namely his "WTF is" videos. He covers mostly indie titles.

Awesomenauts, FTL, Project Zomboid, and plus side is all of them allow monetization. Although I wouldn't call the first two 'new' (FTL is quite old now) Awesomenauts has recently released an expansion and Project Zomboid is still in Beta so technically it isn't out yet. When it does though, god I will be addicted
