Gamers: Do you post bad gameplay?

So recently I played my first UGC TF2 match, and we lost... I was wondering to all you gamer/youtubers is it ok to post gameplay that isn't that great? Will most people dislike it if it isn't the best commentary?

lol I do that all the time, but that might be why I don't get many views. Some people don't watch the gameplay though, they just come to listen to what you are saying or talking about. I think it depends on how good your commentary... maybe I don't know.

well as a creator the commentary should be entertaining even if your not yelling swearing getting p****d off like i would be if your calm and just talking you should still find a way to say things that would keep the audience entertained and make sure the game footage you capture is good too...no ones gonna watch for long if you just stand there slowly walking around or something. so yea..if you mean bad gameplay like footage of you dying or something that can be entertaining also!

Only things that really matters in game footage is video quality and audio quality. If either is, how would you say, is s**t then the viewer (I'm generalizing from my own point of view) will instantly leave. Bad "gameplay" can be entertaining, have a look at Happy Wheels for example.

As for content of commentary is entirely subjective. For example, me been in the late 30's demographic would be unlikely to like watching a young teenager horsing around continuosly, video after video. I'm guessing a teenage viewer would just eat that stuff up and think nothing of it.

It sucks how much YT has changed, to be honest I'd say unless your commentary is based around how you can improve or something related to the loss/game don't post it. I say this because you will likely get more hate than appreciation for it. At the same time tho I personally I post what I want and sometimes it works out and sometimes it doesn't. Either way stay true to yourself and good luck with your channel!

Ok, lets take this competitive game play thing. If a person was only to post up everytime he/she had won, they would present a god like image ... imagine the hate they would get if the viewers dug up the actual win/loss record. If it were me I would post the video, analyze what went wrong and tack on a wrap up commentary on the end of it and vow to do better next time. In these games which pit one side against another.... someone is going to loose. I guess all that really matters is how you take loosing.

Yeah, exactly what the first few posts said. Its not so much if you're a good player at video games, its more about the commentary and the other stuff you do too. Some people do speed runs because well... either they're really good at the video game and thats what people like to see.

Bad or good, commentary and really good audio will get you places.

At least, thats my opinion.
