Gameplay with unrelated commentary?

I somehow find it more interesting and entertaining that way (well it depends).
 
Most of my videos I add commentary post-edit, because I edit out a lot (esp in Sims 3, since I am trying to tell a story there). With my WoW videos, they are a one-shot solo run-through of a dungeon, with rarely any edits, so I can more easily do a live commentary.
 
I prefer the bulk of the commentary to be focused on the game, however if that spurs an off topic comment that is entertaining I have no problem with it. It is like a good podcast / radio morning show.
 
ehh live commentary about the game is better i mean if i'm watching a video about Call of Duty i wouldn't want to hear about the party they went to or about an event that happened recently because it's not relevant to game being played
but if its comedy while they are playing the game i probably wouldn't care because i'm too busy laughing
 
I like when there is a good balance of game-related commentary and non-related commentary. It shows into the YouTuber's personality and life a little.
