Game capture HD Recording problem

So I just recorded 1 hour of minecraft, and I clicked the 'live commentary' button, tested everything and it worked (my mic is the turtle beach P11) and when I review the footage, there is no commentary?? WTH, I recorded for an hour and now I have no commentary??

Or is it because I have to wait untill it's rendered properly? Or is it just not going to add the commentary?

You should use audacity for the commentary instead of the feature on the program... It works better. Try rendering the video.

what capture card are you using firstly?

Okay, I'll just use audacity for this. I'm on a Mac OS X and I was using the elgato software to playback it. The sound of the game is perfect, but there is just no commentary added. I think it's because it's a long video and because I checked the option to adjust game volume to mic. Just going to use audacity so yeah. Thanks guys!

I wouldn't say that. If it is an elgato, the live commentary feature is premium. It records great audio, if the mic is used correctly.

But you can edit out different volumes, choppy sound, and background noise in audacity. I guess I think this because my elgato has a history of screwing me over.

True, but I have my mixer/mic gains set perfect where it picks up no background noise, at least I have not noticed any. But, you are correct, where you can edit your audio in audacity. I have not used that program in years.....
