FullScreen automatically enabling Non-skippable ADs without consulting channel owner

Does this happen to any other FullScreen partners?

I had this happen multiple times despite complaining with my channel manager, they assured me that my channel has been whitelisted from their automatic lists but I just noticed it happened again around December and I just realized it now.

I'm so done with them when my contract expires on August

your profile picture perfectly describes the feeling behind this post, it is hilarious :p I'm not with a network though, so sorry can't help.

Hahaha so true, but to be honest I'm not that mad as when happened in previous months since despite those damn unskippable ads the views in the latest weeks increased spectacularly

there is a theory that youtube promotes videos with ads more than other videos, which would be logical since youtube makes more money from them. Not sure if it is true though.

Well that might be true, but it's still a fact that unskippable ads turns people off compared to normal ads (or no ads at all).

YT itself admits it as if you roll over with the mouse on the unskippable ads question mark, it says "Warning - It may increase viewers abandonment"

true, i've given up on watching videos myself when the ad was too long.

If you have it in writing contact your Fullscreen manager or their support email and tell them they are violating your contract agreement. If they are violating you should be able to get out of the contract earlier due to breech in contract, or they will have to fix it

The vast majority of networks auto-enable ads on all videos in the network every few weeks.

Not a great business practice as not all videos can legally be monetized nor does every channel want the same settings/ ad types..

When I was with Fullscreen they never did that. I have a video that has pro hockey footage so I can't monetize it, they never did it to that one.

Yeah, the thing is that my manager assured me my channel had been whitelisted so that would've not happened anymore, but I guess coming the December big Ads money they tried to enable as much Ads as possible on all the channels on their network (VERY shady and unrespectful towards their partners if you ask me)
