Okay. I'm on the verge of buying a new dlsr(currently stuck with Nikon D5300, sucks. Thinking of buying a 5D mark III. Does anyone here have experience with it? Possibly with wide angle lenses

What will you be filming with it? Might be a bit overkill, but it is a really really good video camera.

@Styxie I need something for the glidecam shots. I need something with a wide lens, like 16-28 or 16-35 mm. Crop sensor DSLR's can't do the job

Ah alright then! Yea the 5D is really great, I believe they shot the racetrack scene in the second Iron Man movie with the Mk2

Do you have experience with DSLR's like that before? Also, do you have all the needed support gear? (I don't know what your skill level is generally with all this ^^)

Are you sure you are ready to move on to such a high level camera. I agree, the video on a a D5300 isn't great - I have one though I mainly use it for photography. The last season of House was shot on the 5D I believe. I would, in your shoes, get a cheaper camera such as the 70D and buy some nice glass for it as well as good rigs such as a nice shoulder rig and/or cage...
