Free video editing software?

Hey guys, I'm looking for a free video editing software? I use arcsoft showbiz to record and it does have an editing bit but basically all you can do is add text! does anyone know of any free softwares?

Blender (it's mainly a 3d animation software, but it has a pretty decent video editor too) and Lightworks, which is the most powerful free editor, in my opinion.

I use blender for making 3d animations I didn't know that I could edit videos with it?!

Yup. Before I was able to upgrade, I used Blender to edit for years. It worked pretty decently, plus I loved that I could use the compositor to add effects without leaving the program.

You definitely should. If you look up Tears Of Steel, it was made by the Blender Foundation, edited entirely using Blender. It really shows what you can do with the software.

I made a sphere in blender once, it looked cool, there are many good free video editors, some are even superior to commercial editors.
