Free screen capture?

I've run into a problem guys, I use corel for all my video editing and screen capturing however it has a problem. It won't record half the things I want to and I think its because of coding in the programs I try to record. Is there any free capture programs that I can use that will capture anything no matter what the program I'm recording is? Also is there any that doesn't create huge files, I know of fraps and I'm pretty sure those files end up being like a gig even if its a short video. I also have Camstudio on my computer but I could never get it to work right.

So any programs I can record computer gameplay with for free without a watermark on it? I don't need an editor, I already have corel and it will edit anything pretty much.
 
hhmmm, well I was going to say camstudio as that is what I used to use when I ran windows, now I use screenflow. I would try reinstalling it and having another go if I was you because I used to find it quite useful and even there editing system wasn't too bad.
 
Gameplay is what you want? Try using WeGame.

Or you can save up for FRAPS or DXtory which are far superior.
 
I use Fraps, sadly it isn't free, but it is very cheap on the official Fraps site.
You could always consider downloading it from the piratebay to just TRY it and when you have the money you can buy it.

Nononono. Never, EVER pirate. It's just wrong, you know. It's almost like demeaning the guys who made the actual software, even if you do buy it later.

Yeah..... my advise just pirate if you want to try. As long as you like it you should buy it to support the creators.
 
yeah you could pirate, if you're too cheap and dont care enough to save up and help out the developer who, without that software, you wouldn't be able to do your hobby anyways..........

That's why I say when you pirate buy the software/game/movie when you like it. Because using pirated stuff for ever without even consider buying it is just selfish.
 
obsproject.com - I just got this recently off a suggestion and have been using it to record stuff that Fraps just won't work with. I think I may like it better than Fraps, honestly. It take a bit more finagling to get working but it's capable of quite a bit

When I tried using camstudio I would get poor quality or flickering screens, I googled it for hours and found solutions but they never really worked they just created other issues lol.

Fraps cost? I was thinking it was free but I would never pirate it anyway lol. However isn't fraps a program that creates huge files?

Haven't heard of WeGame, I'll look into that one thank you.
