Free music sources needed

Hi All,
I'm pulling both of my hairs out trying to find some good free music. I spent over an hour on freemusicplay.com and I found nothing but machine music.
I want some good quality background choices for video and slideshow presentations. Hopefully a wide variety of choices.
Any advice.
Thanks

Why not download music from YouTube? Decent 192 kbps with free download-managers.

When you say machine music do you mean computer generated like techno/trans/dubstep? Just wondering because I have a friend who can do this type of music, if you were looking for anything like instrumentals I would suggest sticking to the above suggestions.

Thanks for the replies. IS it legal to use music downloaded from youtube. I didn't think it was. Browsed incompetech.com. I'll spend a little more time there when I can spare it. Youtube would be a nice solution though if all is ok with that.
Thanks Again

With YouTube, like anything else, it just depends on if the music is licensed royalty free by the owner or not.

You're welcome!

Dodging copyright bullets can be pretty easy when you have the right armour (Royal free sites), but when you upgrade to Terminator 2.0 it becomes increasingly difficult to dodge bullets the size of a fist. That's an analogy to say that it's a lot easier to avoid copyright strikes when you don't use YouTube to get music.

OK so now I stumbled on a great new free download site called Guvera.com It's not all free but that's another story. So how do we know when, or if ever, using these mainstream commercial tunes on our vids is legal?
My guess is it's never legal but just needing some confirmation here.
Thanks
