Fraps & Windows 8

I've Got It
Right, OK, so I know this isn't really a YT question but I can't find any answers via our lovely friend google that actually help!
I just bought fraps, after trying the demo which worked find on my OS (Windows 8), I d/l the full version - legally, as in paid for it! - BUT it now doesn't work, it does not capture the videos at all & I cannot figure out why or find a solution.
So any help to fix this would be MASSIVELY appreciated!

Contact their support. I used fraps on Windows 8.1 and it works fine.. Try run administrator and config your recording hot key
 
Weird, but like above I use Fraps on windows 8 and windows 8.1 and it works fine. You do need to run it as administrator.
 
I use Windows 8 + Fraps, no problem - check your Fraps settings, then your antivirus settings etc. Fraps wasn't designed to work on Windows 8 (the latest version was designed to work on Windows 7) but it should still work. If not, describe you problem a bit more :)
 
Your problem is Windows 8 ;).
No offence all window 8 users, not saying it's bad or anything.
I just dont trust it.

As a Windows 8.1 user....I presume youre referring to things other than the obvious problem that it's microsoft!

Thanks for the advice, but figured it out in the end...my laptop didn't like F9 being the record key on the full version, why it made a difference...no idea but it seems to like the A key!

Nah I been using it and it's the same with Windows 7 in terms of application/games but much faster for power user like me and will never go back to windows 7.

So it was the hotkey lol and not on the OS (Windows 8)
