Fraps Recording Settings

Hey everyone, people that record usually ask me what are programs that I record with and what are my settings?

Well, answering the first question, I record with Fraps, it's simple and it's free. Only thing I would say is that buying Fraps is much better than having the free one.

Now time to answer to the second question.

What are my settings?

Well, this is very simple.

☑=I have this one checked off

Under General Tab:
☑Fraps Window always on top
☑Monitor Aero Desktop(DWM)

Under FPS Tab:
*Nothing is checked off*

Under Movies Tab:
☑50 fps
*Loop buffer length = 30 seconds
☑Record Win7 sound
☑Multichannel (Optional)
☑Record External Input (Optional)
☑Lock framerate while recording

Under Screenshot Tab:
☑JPG

All of these are not necessary, but these are my settings to get the quality recordings that I have on my channel.​

Also, remember that the hotkeys are your choice.

Hey I want so say that if your FRAPS is not reacting on hotkey you should just make sure you clicked ☑Monitor Aero Desktop(DWM) . That was fcking my brain for some time but I figurate it out yesterday,See yaa

Many people have 30 FPS but i personally perfer 50fps to ensure smooth videos. I personally have a decently nice computer so I can have like high settings and be able to record in 50 FPS

When i create my videos in fraps/movies i checked 100fps and in game is fps limiter off so it makes 100fps max. Your settings are good too.

Well, after 60 FPS, it doesn't really make a difference in the recording since it's so hard to tell due to the fact that it's already so smooth.
