Fraps Or Camtasia Recorder

I have both of these recording softwares however up til now i have only used fraps.

Out of these two which would you say is better???

i totally depends on what you're using it for. for gaming videos (in game recording) i would go with Fraps, and i Camtasia for desktop related videos.
they also both have limitations for example Fraps can't record your desktop.

I like Fraps, but I have very limited experience with Camtasia.

Fraps gives you better performance although the file size is huge. Camtasia has low file size but slows your comp a bit. Camtasia should be used for normal screen recording and Fraps for gaming

Fraps is an excellent software to use and is an all-rounder, it can record both games and desktop. Camtasia on the other hand does not record games very well but it has a video editing software included with the recorder.

FRAPS - Pros: Can record Games & Desktop Cons:Does not have an included video editing suite.
CAMTASIA - Pros: Can record desktop very well. Has included video editing software Cons: Does not record games very well.

As you have both programs then go use Camtasia. It was made specifically to record desktop footage.

Having experience with both I'll have a nifty little bullet point thingy down underneath this text.

Camtasia Recorder:
Pros: -Good for recording desktop shenanigans
-Good for some games but not all (my Portal video was kinda glitchy with black boxes popping up occasionally)
Cons: -Frames locked at 30 FPS

Fraps:
Pros: -Amazing for games
-FPS at an awesome 90 FPS
Cons: -Most computers can't HANDLE THE POWER!
