FPS on Premiere Pro CS5.5?

Maybe someone here can help me because I'm about to tear my hair out!!

I'm creating a new sequence in Premiere Pro, and I'm setting the frame rate to 29, like my video file is. When I import my video file though, it interprets the file as 24fps, and the audio is out of sync until it eventually ends halfway during the video.

I don't know what's going on or what other information you need to help me fix this, but I'd appreciate some help!!

Right click on video file in the premiere pro library and then click interpret footage. Here you can adjust the clip to different settings.
(The original settings) let me know if it works :)

I did that but then the audio plays faster (like a chipmunk) and it's still out of sync and ends early. :/[DOUBLEPOST=1387754081,1387753925][/DOUBLEPOST]It seems like the video doesn't finish conforming or something. I had this issue before on my old laptop, but after deleting the media cache and re-importing, it would conform just fine. I've done this a couple times on my new computer and it just keeps giving me the same problem.

Then try to set your sequence settings to the 24fps?
Im not behind my mac atm so cant check myself. Maybe you can post a screen shot of the video codec/ settings as shown in the original file and one as shown in adobe.
Also a screen grab of the sequence settings might work for us to help you out better. :)

It does sound like something went out of wack with your clip. an inaccurate frame rate shouldn't be the reason your audio comes out of sync. It will just make the video look different.

I think I got it figured out... I have to convert my files before importing them into Premiere and I had it on some automatic thing. Manually selecting the settings fixed it. Not sure why...
