Forela Digital - ZERO Communication - How do I release?

Hello all, I'm hoping you all could help me with something!

After leaving Fullscreen back in 2013, I had the pleasure of signing with Forela Digital (sarcasm). I've been generally unhappy with the network the past couple years and the fact that I've been getting literally zero communication from anyone which has been quite frustrating.

I was finally able to get a human response when I tried contacting the supposed sub MCN or affiliate, which authorizes my payments each month (RECStudios.TV), however they deny any affiliation with Forela when I demanded that I be released from the network. Haven't heard back since.

I've tried literally every support medium that I could find and my last resort now is to post here.

I have already made several written demands to have my channel(s) released from the network, most of which go unanswered and they still have the audacity to deny my many unlink requests I've made from the YouTube Dashboard.

Any steps I could take to help accelerate this process before looking into legal options would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for everyone's time.

Does this network have you under a contract?

If so, you need to find your copy of it to see when it renews, and for how long. If you had a recent contract renewal, it's no mystery why you cannot unlink, and why your emails requesting release aren't being answered. If Forela Digital doesn't work by contract, the only thing I know of that you could do is to consult a lawyer if you still cannot get any communication.

I managed to dig up a copy of my contract. Was an initial 2 year contract starting in July of 2013, with a 1 year renewal if not requested to be released (Which I did in 2015, no response).

I am exploring my legal options but it seems other YouTubers have been able to get in touch with Forela in 2015.

What would you say is my best option to approach this?

Well considering you must by the contract date be locked in until July...I'd have a very careful look to see how far ahead of the renewal you need to request release. Some networks will not let you request until 30 days before the anniversary, others may be 60 or even 90. I've never left a network myself.

You might also try contacting those YouTubers you mentioned who did get in touch and find out how they did it.

Found this in the contract, I suppose this answers the question:

"In case the agreement is not terminated by either party giving a 2 month’s notice by sending a letter through registered mail before expiry of the current term, the agreement shall be extended with a one year term

This Agreement may be terminated by either party in the event of a material breach by the other party of the terms of this Agreement provided that the terminating party first gives the defaulting party written notice of termination, specifying the grounds therefore, and the defaulting party has had thirty (30) days after such notice is given to cure the breach. If not so cured, this Agreement shall terminate at the expiration of such thirty (30) days."

I am trying to get in contact with them.

Have they breached the contract?

If not, you should send the mentioned registered postal letter to them in May. According to contract law, they aren't obligated to release you unless you do that. You should possibly send it near the end of April to make sure postal delivery delays don't have them receiving it in under 60 days.

Do you have a twitter?

If so, try tweet these guys twitter.com/IlluminataTV They own the MCN (ForelaDigital) that RecStudios is under.

Thank you good sir, I just got a actual human response and they told me to DM them the details of the situation. Will update if I need to but the end is looking to be in sight.
