FLV Conversion software

Hi Guys,

I ran a live stream tonight over on Twitch.tv using XSplit.

I set XSplit up to automatically archive my broadcast to disk so I could edit it together later in Adobe Premiere. However, it turns out that XSplit decided to save it into FLV because it was streaming via FLV -- Now of course, adobe premiere doesn't support this so I need to somehow convert it to MP4 or something similar.

I downloaded a freeware app called "FLV to MP4 Converter" and that started doing the job, but quit halfway through the file and the audio was really out of sync.

Has anyone else found/used any software they would recommend?

you could try re-rendering it in either vegas pro or powerdirector

Thanks for your recommendations dude They're a bit pricey for me to only use the once but I'll keep them in mind.

Premiere doesn't support flv at all? That seems like an oversight on their part.

Totally.. I thought I was doing something wrong at one point, but then a quick Google search turned up that it has no support for FLV whatsoever. Strange, considering they developed the FLV format.

Freemake video converter will convert anything, including FLV files or those BMP or whatever those dumb Xsplit files are saved to.

If you get Real Player Pro you can do it, but it costs a little bit. For free, Real Player will convert it to WMV in standard def and you can edit from there. I have premier and the same problem. It's a pain in the a**, I know.

I often use Format Factory and has never let me down. Easy to use and can convert almost any audio and video format.
