First video ideas/help?

Heylo,
So, I've recently started my channel, on which I'll be posting vlogs, challenge videos etc.

I wanted to make an introduction video, but when it came to filming, the video just came out too awkward and cringe-worthy.

I was wondering if anyone had any other ideas that I could use for a first video, rather then the usual 'stand in front of the camera & simply introduce yourself and your channel'.

Any ideas will be appreciated!

Thank you,
Theo.

Go with the awkward and cringe worthy one, if your not relaxed enough to make a so please video well will it work with a different idea?

Each should be better than the last and by the time you've got your million subs you can all have a little laugh about how you started. But I generally think that if you start not posting then you'll continue, also as a last thought maybe you're the only one who will cringe. You might be awesome and just not be able to see it, in fact that's it, you are awesome and you just can't see it dude, relax.

P.S. if you want to feel better about my our video just look at mine, my first one is shocking.

Good luck.

Thanks for the advise. I think you're right, I will just go for it.

Don't forget editing can help break up that awkwardness. Use jump cuts if you want to ease the tension or emphasise on a particluar key point. Plus for me I find that it keeps my level of interest up.

Have fun regardless! :)

I'm pretty sure everyone is the same way. I filmed my first introduction video today and I felt so awkward.. especially when my neighbors and parents were watching me wondering why I was talking to my camera lol. I guess eventually you get used to it (i hope). Maybe just make a quick video talking about what your plans are for your channel.

EDIT:
guess this was posted earlier this week. Was the video you made your "Welcome to my channel video" if so its good! I like it!
