First time saw our channel on 'Related Channel' sidebar

Saw this today for the first time, this is the sidebar box filled in by Yt not the channel owner.

So the questions arise:
Have you seen your channel in the sidebar?
What causes it to be placed there? - is there an association between the channel watching and you, or is it that Yt is starting to trust your content and starts to place your channel for greater exposure?

I saw mine on MattyburritoMB's channel, and he has an ongoing pokemon parody series just like me, and we are often in each others suggested i think.
im guessing its based on suggested videos, which channels your more linked to in the videos?

Don't know when they added it but saw it a couple of days ago, not sure when exactly. I thought it was always there but never noticed it, but probably it's new then if you have never seen it too I've been watching it the last days and it changes frequently for me. It's the people I visit for sure, probably also the ones who visit me (they're all in my R4R group).[DOUBLEPOST=1475366060,1475365787][/DOUBLEPOST]Thinking about it again, I have seen a few of them that I was not subscribed too as well the last days, but they might have visited/commented on my channel already.
