First Network Invite! Planet Cameo Network?

I Love YTtalk
Just some random thoughts:

So like every small YouTube I set up a business e-mail for no reason and expected to not get any e-mails for a while. Well today I got my very first business e-mail and it was a network invitation. It was from the Planet Cameo Network. Networks nowadays must want anybody because I don't even have 50 subs or 1000 views and only 5 videos on my channel.

  • Any thoughts on Planet Cameo Network (not that I'm going to join.)
  • Should I expect more network invites in the future?
  • Anyone else get network invites when they have almost no views or subs?
  • And whats the point of having a buiness e-mail when you run an extremely small channel?

Also, I can't take you seriously if your buiness e-mail is something stupid like onedirecrectionfan20454@gmail.com or something, if you have a buiness e-mail at least make it somewhat professional. I saw channel the other day with a few thousand subscribers and their business e-mail was something really stupid and it had like six numbers in it. So just a tip for anyone out there with a horrible e-mail.[DOUBLEPOST=1421552450,1421552159][/DOUBLEPOST]And anyone know what network Planet Cameo is under? It is obvious they aren't one of the big ones? Are they under Maker, Freedom, etc.?

I've never heard of such a network, but I'd like to give you a bit of fair warnings about networks as a whole:

I signed my channel to a 2-year agreement with Fullscreen about a 1 year and a half ago, they take 30% of my earnings in exchange of their tools. Nowadays, that translates to $300-$400 per month worth of lost earnings!!! For what they offer me, their programs are currently of no use to me, and they never really were. Before you sign any sort of agreement with a network, make sure you understand everything that they offer to you in exchange of a cut of your own earnings. Also consider the length of the agreement (usually 2 years) and understand that you cannot cancel the partnership until that period is over, and sometimes they make it automatically renew. Also, most importantly, apparently contrary to popular belief, you can make earnings without a multi-channel network. Often times networks will offer you "a CPM of up to $10!!!" whereas this statistic is a fancy way of saying "Our best creators earn $10 CPM and if you work your a** off you can too!" Just keep in mind that they do not possess the ability to increase your CPM, they just give you tools to expand your channel and achieve higher CPM's. (fyi, CPM is Cost Per Mille, latin for thousand. Basically earnings per thousand views.)

As for the network itself, it seems like their website a generic format that I've seen several times before. This leads me to believe that it's a subsidiary of another network, not that that is necessarily a bad thing. My only recommendation is that you truly look into the network and what they offer. The first step is to reply to the scout that seeked you out and ask for what services they require and what cut they will take of your earnings. If you decide to go ahead with the partnership, be sure to look over the contract before you sign it, good luck!

I didn't actually start receiving partnership requests until I surpassed 1,000 subscribers, also keep in mind that there were less networks at the time and I was already partnered with Fullscreen. Nowadays, there are just too many to count XD

A business email is always nice to have, you'll need to make one eventually for your channel and it's best to reserve an email while you still can :)

I havent heard of them, their name is rather long and I dont have a clue who theyre under but I would guess at Freedom! just because of how many subnetworks there are under them.

You can expect them from here on, every channel must get them other than those with zero views. Any channel that gets views tends to get them at least now and then. I keep seeing Freedom spammers writing on channels videos for them to contact them instead of through the messaging system. Theyre doing that now so they get more attention from others reading the comments who also might want to partner with them.

I think YouTube should have called it something else just so people are comfortable having their emails there, not every channel will consider their channel a business when theyre only making a few dollars a month even though it technically is one.

Never heard of them :p

On the channel I have linked below which isn't massive at around 1.5M views a month,
It gets around 10 invites a month minimum.

All of which though seem to come from 4 MCNs,
Freedom, MusicNations, RecStudio & QuizGroup.

Not surprisingly all those MCNs aggregate tens of thousands of channels regardless of size and are full of copyright.

I also got a message from 'Planet Cameo' (I posted a thread just before reading this - i think i put it in the wrong forum too!).
Not much information about them from what i can find! don't think ill be taking up the offer either!

I mean I don't even know the revune share. And my total earnings since I started my channel are less than $1.

I have personally never heard of that network. But like Micheal said they are most likely under freedom since they just accept networks like it's nothing. With the name of the network I highly suspect it's ran by some kid. I can't say for sure. But I have the suspicion. If I was you I would do my research on this network. Freedom isn't a bad network but their whole business model is about mass partnering any channel in their sight to grow their network statistics. Personally I would go with a network that looks for quality channels.
