First Dislike!

I think I got my first few dislikes for an actual good reason. My first few months of YouTube, my videos sucked so I guess there was some reason to dislike them, but I was getting huge numbers of dislikes even into my actual good videos. It eventually stopped, but it definitely was discouraging at the time. Now I just know that whenever I see a dislike, I need to make my next video not worthy of a dislike.

My first video has 3 dislikes..
It made me upset for the first few days but.. I realised I had 32 likes as well. And that's what matters, those supporting you. Not the haters! :)

When we first started doing YouTube, most of our videos were Call of Duty 100+ gameplays. You'd be surprised of the dislikes you get from it lol

There are as many optinions as people on this planet. Can't expect all to like what you are doing. 1 dislike is nothing, it's like "thanks, finally i got it". Imagine yourself in Rebecca's shoes couple years ago...

When i got my first dislike it seriously hurt me because i thought i did something totally wrong. I average around 150 likes and 9-14 dislikes a month. For myself i think that's oke. Just ignoring the dislikes and keep going pumping out video's:)

We got a horrible comment this morning :/

"100 VLOGS with 30 views lol who the f**k do u guys make these for ? lol"

We know we aren't doing amazing, we grow slowly and don't really have a "fan base" yet but we enjoy doing them. We like to say we are doing it for ourselves so we can look back in the future but we also want to show the rest of the world... what the rest of the world is like! Hannah can't take criticism well but we just have to ignore and carry on... we think

There's nothing wrong with making them for yourself! That's exactly why I make videos... it's a little time capsule to remember yourself with!

People often say that if you want to grow your channel, you should make videos that you enjoy watching. While I think that's great, I prefer making videos that I enjoy making. Sure, they might not be as fun to watch... but I'm never going to be a YouTube star. Might as well have fun in the video-making process.

I don't care for dislikes anymore as they serve the same as likes. They still push up your videos in the search results tho :)

From 2013 to mid 2014 I had an unsavory bunch of individuals who would dislike my videos, even new ones. I typically had 2 to 4 dislikes per video but after some time they stopped and dislikes were very sporadic after that. I typically go from 70-90 likes and 2-4 dislikes a month these days.
