Filming podcast interviews and releasing them on YouTube

I've got a question - I've seen that quite some people record their podcast interviews and later on release the interview both as a podcast and a video. What are your opinions on these kind of videos, are they a great idea or no etc.?

I actually got offered to do an interview on a podcast on a smaller youtube channel recently I think it's great if you're wanting to promote other youtubers! It could even give you a bump up in subscribers as well if the youtuber shouts you out and gets their viewers to go check out the podcast!

I would love to have a podcast but my current content is definitely visually oriented. That being said, I'm moving out of the garage and into an actual warehouse. When the time is right, I will have new content that can be hosted in a podcast and on YouTube.
