Filming in HD Problem

Te-Erika

I've Got It
Now that technology has changed I feel like I HAVE to film in HD but when I film inside my home, I need more lighting because the HD seems to make the room look darker even during the day. Does anyone else have this problem?

It would be wise to tell us what you use for recording, also this should've been posted in the "Video editing and recording" forum.

Yes HD can do that.. Simple easy solution... Buy 3 cheap lamps at walmart or Kmart.. Now go to Peir one or some store like taht or even amazon.com and get a 3 cheap china balls the paper ones.. Place one lamp and china ball on the floor behind you (back light) place the other 2 off camera to your left and right.. In total this might cost you about 30 bucks.. Cool thing you can do is the one on the floor if you feel all creative is get watercolor paints and paint it.. it will change the color of your back light.. The China Balls create a nice soft glow which will make your videos look like you have a awesome expensive lighting kit. Trust me this works.[DOUBLEPOST=1382957781][/DOUBLEPOST]

Oh sorry.
No worries it has been moved to Stratagies and Technique Advice..

If your camera allows you to, manually alter the exposure setting, this will overcome your problem.

With my Nikon Coolpix, even on auto, you can easily change the exposure setting and monitor the effect.

Invaluable for bright or dark light situations. Same as for film cameras.

Don't forget the color temp of the lights, 5500k.
