Feedback on channel concept, art, and thumbnails.

I've Got It
I recently started my new interactive YouTube game series, and I was wondering if anyone could provide me with feedback in terms of the way my channel looks overall. Also what you think of the concept. At the moment, I have a basic channel art, icon, and thumbnails. Any advice on improving them? Or should I just keep it simple?

One more thing, I'm not sure if I'm using the right tags for my videos. I would really appreciate if someone could explain how SEO works and how to use appropriate tags.

Thanks a lot!

I think the channel looks good. As you get more subs and subscribers I'm sure you'll end up redoing it at some point.

Here are the SEO basics I've learned. You want a title that people are searching for. For example, there's a toy company called Melissa and Doug that make stuff for toddlers. I did a video on them and called it Melissa and Doug Toy Review. That's a term that's searched for. In the description I reinforced that by using the term Melissa and Doug again. Did the same thing in the tags. If you go to YouTube and search for "Melissa and Doug toy review" my video comes up first. If you search just for Melissa and Doug I'm on the second page.

That's the basics of SEO. Still the biggest factor is how many people watch, like, share etc. But the SEO helps.

- Think about adding a dedicated trailer that tells about your content and hooks the viewer.
- You channel art looks a bit sterile but I like that you have a consistent branding over banner, logo and thumbnails
- Include information about your upload schedule into your banner
- Very creative way of using annotations.
- I am a bit into pen and paper rpgs so the concept is definitely interesting for me

As XXLRay mentioned some things about the channel, I'll tell you something about SEO. You want to use terms that people are looking for. What are those terms? There are plenty of tools to see how much are given keywords being searched, the most used is Google Keywords: adwords.google.com/KeywordPlanner but there are others like the ones described here: internetmarketingninjas.com/blog/search-engine-optimization/12-free-keyword-tools-replace-googles-keyword-tool/
But it isn't enough to put the keywords that the people is searching more related to your video, because there are lots of people doing that, and the competition is high. The biggest channels will rank first, and yours is small. So, you have to find related keywords which have low competition but people is looking for.
That's a basic idea. So, don't try to rank videos for "Call of Duty" tag, or something similar, you have no possibilities right now.
From now on, you have to read tutorials and tricks to find, easier and faster, the keywords for your videos.

Alright, thanks! I'll check out some tutorials and the alternative keyword tools, because I believe you need an Adsense account to access Google's Keyword Planner.
