note: this is just a preview not the original image.The original banner has perfect resolution

Yeah I third that, too much going on, it doesn't need to be really simple and minimalistic, but just tone it down a tad :)
 
I don't know but I think this will look pretty perfect as channel art
because you cannot see everything on a pc
the complete image will be visible only on a TV(who watches youtube on tv..well some do but then it will look good)

*and it wont look like this I just quickly cropped it so it will look better now say?
 
I still have to agree with Apunk, you need to tone it down with the effects. There is no focal point, your eyes just go all over the place when you're looking at it. You want the text to be the focal point in the image.

i think that the white flash/flare is affecting the whole image.. try to lower the opacity of that or remove it and see how it looks with out it.[DOUBLEPOST=1365487415,1365487292][/DOUBLEPOST]

i think if you remove the white lightning/flare/flash or whatever you call that it will look better. also you can put a stroke on the letter and an white outer glow, try that and see how it looks.
