Fan Funding - Can We Be Specific?

For those who are using, or have used, Fan Funding, are you permitted by YT to ask for specific things that you want?

Would being specific encourage viewers to donate, or turn them off?

I know the YT fan funding info says:
Fan Funding lets viewers make voluntary payments to you for uploading videos to YouTube.

Can we have something like:
Pls help us raise funds for a 4K camera so we can bring you awesome HD content

or

Pls help us raise fund for a new computer ~ we smelt something burning inside ours today

Note: Both of these are absolutely true, especially the second one. I think my 4 y.o. laptop is on it's final days :-(

I turned on the funding thing last year and didn't earn anything. I didn't have a specific goal or statement though.

Actually now that i look i cant find where it would show up.

I don't know if that's against the policy, but maybe you'd want to do something that's easier to send people to, like a Kickstarter or a Patreon. That way, you can give rewards (private videos, shoutouts in credits, etc.) for people who donate so much money?

I have no doubt where money is involved, especially on the internet, that there will be scammers galore. Perhaps that's why there would likely be little to no donations unless you are super big, by which stage you wouldn't need it :-(
