I've Got It
I heard about famebit a few of months ago and tried to apply to join, I then realised you needed 1k sub's to be able to do so. At that point in time I was well off having around 500 sub's.

Today I checked the famebit website again as I'm now at 950 sub's and should be ready to join by early next week, unfortunately it now seems they have just upped the minimum number of sub's to 5000! Or have I got it all wrong ?!

Is there any decent famebit alternatives out there as this seems an exciting revenue stream to explore and I was really looking forward to the challenge.

What's the reason you want to join famebit so much in the first place? I haven't even heard of this partnership

It just sounded like an exciting way to create extra revenue. You look at the deal on offer from brands, you pitch your idea of how you will promote them or their products in your videos, you set a price you would like, they agree or say no. You make the video and publish it and you get payed.

I really enjoy the whole YouTube thing and I was seeing it as something new that I could delve into.

Also how have you not seen or heard of them, they have advertisement banners on this forum :)

I don't really bother checking the advertisement part of this forum, so I guess that's why. but my question is why did you want to partner with this particular network? I'm sure there are plenty more to choose from that is suitable for you and fulfills your needs as a content creator. If it really requires 5k in order to enter, I'd suggest not to lose hope and maybe search for another network, or even better motivate yourself to reach 5k :)
Anyways, best of luck for you!

Hi sorry, famebit isn't a partnership or network. It's just a site to be able to connect with brands so you can do like paid product placements with them. There is no contract and its is nothing to do with your adsense revenue :)

Famebit recently changed the requirement (about a week ago), those that were members prior were grandfathered in. I only have about 2300, but i was grandfathered in. They did this because people with only 1k subs were always complaining that they weren't getting any offers accepted. I mean it makes sense, would you rather promote your product with a tuber that has 10k subs or just 5k?
Anyway, don't worry about it. You really aren't missing out on much. Most offers are for like 250$ which isn't worth your time to make the videos or the impact it will have on your subs (they know when your promoting a product and they don't like it). Also there is no good products to review. Unless you are into makeup, cooking, unboxing, or tech reviews, famebit is pretty pointless. Also there has been a lot of issues coming up, so it seems like they are still working out the kinks.
I still look every once in a while in hopes that they start adding products that would be a good fit for my channel, but nothing yet.

Hope this helps

I think anywhere below 10k subs, doing product placement may not be the best thing. I say this because you'll have to spend time on videos and promoting products, which may upset the small following you have. But, thats just imo!
