I wanted to take a moment to say the importance/impact of engaging with the YouTube community.
Sometimes the right comment, at the right time, really makes someones day, it can change someones outlook on life, and I completely believe in Karma and this is some proof.
Well I'm making a video on equality, and asked for peoples pictures if they wanted to be a part of it (thank you YTtalkers for yours ) They've all been brilliant.
But three inparticular came from people I do not know, and I received because of my random engagement with their videos.
My friend Siyanda from Africa, he made a video about showing his art and other bits, and I left a comment saying how brilliant and amazing his work was (it really is) and he was so grateful he made a lil' video saying thank you to me. He sent me a picture for my project
Another guy, he made a video about coming out as gay, and i just had a small comment, commending his bravery... and he was very grateful and we chat often now, he made a picture for me too
And just now, I think the testament to everything, I don't know if you guys remember this 'how to eat a watermelon' video recently going viral... well I commented on that, and congratulated this 72 year old mans success, and now he has just sent me an amazing photo with the word 'equality' on.
My point being to this, is that this is a community, and these small acts I did have come back to me in a big way when I needed help myself on a project. And on Saturday when I finish well hopefully i will have made the biggest difference. Just when you think there is so much hate in the world, you find the few amazing people that make everything worthwhile
