I Love YTtalk
I have been thinking a lot about this lately when it comes to using Facebook pages to promote your videos on, do most of you tend to stick to just posting videos or do you provide any other info on your Facebook page? Do you do anything in particular to help better engage those who have liked your page? Do you post more personal updates on yours?
For me with YTtalks FB page I have mostly posted the latest YTtalkTV videos on there and forum related announcements such as when VOTM starts and the voting rounds. I havent really posted anything on there personal but then again the page is for the site and not myself so getting personal would feel out of place but I guess if I had a personal channel with an audience I would probably post updates now and then to do with my life etc or perhaps a good joke.
What do you think is best or works best?
I prefer seeing this as something you should do naturally and want to do otherwise it will come off as too "businessy" for lack of a better word. I know I am more likely to ignore updates on FB that sound like theyre from a business and really formal. I have never been keen on any promotion where its clear someone is being paid to do it like a social media organiser posting on behalf of someone or a company.
