Facebook Page Management Tips

AnnaLovesVlogging

I Love YTtalk
There's a huge gap between my YT subscribers (428) and my facebook fanpage likes (77). I've talked about my page on my channel before and I link to it in all of my video descriptions.

I've also found that aside from my best friend and 1-2 other YouTubers, I get very little interaction on my page. Maybe I'm doing something wrong? Here's my page for reference: facebook.com/annalovesvlogging

I want it to be a fun and insightful resource for my audience but I'm not sure how to go about making it that. Any tips or advice?

I can't say for sure, but perhaps you can try linking for Facebook in annotations (if you're not already doing so). I mean it's not that odd for your Facebook to not get that much activity especially as a smaller channel. But, if you make more of an effort to mention it in your videos maybe it will catch more peoples attention.

a cheap trick i use which can get you both more subscribers from Facebook and more likes on your Facebook page is on occasion post a funny pic or 2 or funny/interesting statuses, that way if people like them they hit the like button on that picture or status and then it shows up on their friends feeds and if they like it the hit the like button etc. etc. :D

Every 2 weeks or so, I send a message to my new subsribers(via youtube) thanking them for subbing. I also tell them that I have facebook fan page and I would appreciate it if they "liked" it. Naturally, I leave a link to my FB fan page. I say for every 5 subs that gets my message, about 2-3 end up liking my page. For me, that's worth it.

Also, I have a FB icon that pops up on my vid reminding viewers that I have a facebook fanpage.

Good luc1k

See I think I'm too timid with my viewers. I have a huge reluctance to ever ask for likes or subs or comments, and on FB I feel like I don't want to be that guy who's always pushing his videos, especially since I'm not really active on FB outside of that. And yet I look around me and see people who are doing these things I'm afraid to do, and getting results, and no one's getting annoyed or bothered by it. I think I need to not be so worried about people thinking I'm seeking attention and start being more aggressive with my channel.

Well, if you have a Facebook page for your channel and people Like it in order to be informed and stuff, I don't see how people could be annoyed. Obviously you don't want to over-do it. It's great, especially with YouTube not letting your subscribers see when you upload a video half of the time.
