External microphone

Hey guys, I've recently started doing Youtube and using a headset at the moment for my commentary, but I would like to find a decent, good quality and cheap external mic. Can anyone recommend one? Thanks

Blue microphones are pretty good! I've never used one, but people using them are very happy with them..
Zoom series recorders are also a good portable choice! I own a zoom h1!

I have a blue snowball from ageeess ago (by ages, I mean at least 3 years or so). It's still really nice quality, and the things been thrown around quite a bit. I used it for a while, ended up getting a headset for casual play, and it ended up only being slightly better. That headset is pretty new for technology's sake. So I gotta say, blue microphones are awesome.

I was just looking at the blue snowball! Its quite a bit for a microphone, but i'd rather have a mic that lasts a long time rather than a crappy one! Thanks
