A Family Vlogger
Im gonna start out by saying that im more of talking about topic(s) in each video i upload kind of vlogger. Mounting the camera to a tripod and discussing the topic of the day.

Today i started filming my topic as i just got my tripod finally, nothing but echo in the room im at. Ive already spent well over $1000 if not more between equipment and once i get 1 thing figured out, another issue comes up and holds down my filming time.

Im bout to say hell with it with those kinds of vlogs and start just filming random videos of my family a little bit. But how can 1 grow if i randomly do that an do only that? Spring is coming up so it wouldnt be the family in the house all the time but the camera would definitely be on them most and me at some points.

Im just out of ideas on how to film my videos. I wanna get active but theres always something that comes up that holds me back, i cant grow nor can i keep an audience that way. But i am trying and trying my hardest. Quitting is the last thing on my mind, i love to film.

What do you guys think?

Hello,

As consistency is one the biggest things that can help your channel grow, I would say if your set-up is holding you back from making videos on a regular basis, then try out a different style of vlogging. If viewers respond to it well, you can keep doing it. But I wouldn't give up on the more formal style of videos, keep working on ways to improve them while trying out some other content.

Hope this helps!

Well the whole setting equipment thing up, tripod, lighting etc. Is rough because once i get everything around. I would run out of ideas as to what to talk about specifically to the camera which would lead me to less consistency vs doing more personal, take a long kind of vlogs. I could probably be more active that way and be able to film more. Just wanted some kind of feedback as if some would possibly respond positively to that kind of content as no one knows me or my surroundings. But i mean thats where the consistency comes in for that.

Everyone has a dad's different taste when it comes to the personal vlogs, but I think if you focus on the most interesting parts of your life, and showcase your personality, people will relate to you and you can gain viewership that way.

Pretty much what i started doing from the very beginning when i started vlogging in 2009ish 2010. Things got in the way, i ended up with a new girlfriend, full time job. I came from having nothing but time to having absolutely no time. Thanks for the feedback, it really cheered me up because i been kind of pissy since earlier. Its always something and its just getting old.
