Elgato makes me lagg

I wanted to record with friends but when i plug my computer into my headset it makes me sound laggy for other ppl, does anyone know a fix for this? normally i sound good but with the computer ( mac ) in-between its becomes laggy.

Plz help so i can start recording

I have an elgato aswell and whenever I recorded, my voice was laggy as well so I just put it into my video editor and it didnt lag in that for some reason. I hope it works for you and I wish the best!

Really? I don't have lag. Interesting.
 
Why are you recording on PC with an Elgato? Elgatos are XBOX and PS to Mac or PC. You can't record the PC screen with it I don't think.
 
I think you can as long as you have an HDMI cable running from the computer into the Elgato. It seems kind of backwards, really. lol
