Elgato HD Or Roxio HD

The elgato on ebay 2nd hand is around £80-£90 and the roxio hd is around £50-£60. They both seem to record in similar quality so i was wondering if it is worth actually paying the extra £30 to get the elgato or just go for a roxio hd?

I saw roxio quality. It seemed very much alright and maybe you should go with it
But don't take my word for it man. I never used those.

Elgato HD all the way. We use it for our PS3 etc games, so you can see the quality results there. the software they give you with it is easy to install and use and gives you a
lot of control of game volume and the ability to record commentary at a correct volume. I can't recommend Elgato enough

Yeah honestly dude, you wont look back. You get a lot of cables too, and although we had to purchase another cable to record dreamcast stuff, it wasn't that much and they sell them from their own elgato shop. If you are going that way anyway haha

Think i payed about £130 for mine, i think i checked on ebay, can't remember

Hmmm people seem to preffer the elgato, and there are only some things i know about those 2, since i use the AverMedia Game Capture HD XP

But i think that the Elgato as more recording features than the Roxio XP
But i believe you should go with the Roxio Both are very similar, so go for the one that costs less

Starter channels should go with the Roxio. Good, cheap HD capture card o get you a good head start on YouTube.

Elgato is awesome too but I would only go the extra £30 if you have been doing gaming vids for a while.
