Elgato GC HD LT Compatibility

Hey there all you awesome people!

I've been googling a lot these days to find out which laptop would work fine to record gameplay with. I noticed that most people have a desktop to record their gameplay with but I was looking into a Sony Vaio S. Anyone that could tell me if such a laptop would run smooth with the software from this capturing device? It would contain an Intel i5 processor.

Thank you!

Ben

if you go on the elgato website they have minimum requierements for using there capture card :) I think it's about 500mb of ram or something like that :) it's really low, you should be able to record on any laptop going these days :) I recorded gameplay on my 4 year old laptop which has 2gb of ram and no graphics card when I was using the TV downstairs and it worked fine :)

Minimum it says 4GB of RAM and a 2,0 Ghz processor (Dual Core). I bought a HP Pavillion G6 last year but I'm not sure if it'll work to record gameplay in 720p. Fraps seems to work fine though on my LT :) Although I was thinking of buying another laptop and using the capture card to record from the old laptop. Dunno if that's a good idea.

Ok so my mom and me are gonna check for an LT tomorrow. For smooth recording an i5 and 6GB of RAM will do?
